Australian and Chinese authorities have cooperated over the seizure of a large container of drugs bound for Australia, resulting in the arrest of five people in both countries, police said on Monday.
Detective Acting Superintendent Luke Needham from the Australian Federal Police told reporters that they received a tip off from China's National Narcotics Control Commission that more than 100 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine was found in a container bound for Australia.

Needham said Chinese authorities removed the drugs and sent the empty container to Australia for further analysis.
A Fijian national, a Hong Kong resident and an Australian citizen were arrested in Sydney in February and a further two people were arrested in Guangdong Province, China.
Police said the drugs have a street value of about 101 million Australian dollars (77 million US dollars).
