We start in Zimbabwe, where President Robert Mugabe's ruling ZANU-PF party is preparing to meet to discuss removing their 93-year-old leader from office, after he ignored demands to resign by noon on Monday. The president shocked the nation in a televised address on Sunday with pledges to preside over next month's ZANU-PF party congress, in spite of a recent party vote to remove him as president. Zimbabwe's military took control of the country on Wednesday. According to US media outlet CNN, Mugabe has already agreed to the terms of his resignation, which reportedly grants him and his wife Grace full political immunity.
