From one global superstar to another, 8-time Olympic 100 meter gold medalist Usain Bolt has reiterated his dream on becoming a professional footballer. During a promotional event for Puma in Johannesburg, the 31-year-old revealed he is to have a trial with Bundesliga giants Dortmund in March and believes turning out for BVB is a realistic ambition.  

USAIN BOLT 8-TIME OLYMPIC CHAMPION "That is something that I wanna do, as you said I have trials with Borussia Dortmund so that's something that is on the table so after the trials, then I can determine if it makes sense to do it or it doesn't make sense. That's what the plan is."

The decorated Olympian retired from the track at the IAAF World Championships in London last August, losing to Justin Gatlin in his final 100 meter sprint. After making a name for himself at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Bolt ended an eleven year career with eight gold medals from the summer games as well as eleven first placed podium finishes from the world championships. The Jamaican's deal with the sports manufacture Puma, who supply the kit for Dortmund, means arrangements for a try-out with the Bundesliga side have been in the works for some time after several promotional appearances in the famous yellow and black colours. Despite the chance with a club of BVB's side, the main dream, according to Bolt, remains on turning out for Manchester United.
