Russia's Defense Ministry has said its joint drill with Belarus starting next Thursday will be purely defensive. The ministry rejected the allegations of German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen that the war games was demonstration of Russian capabilities and power. The drills will run a whole week. Around 13-thousand troops from Russia and Belarus, and almost 700 pieces of military hardware will be used in the exercises.
