English Premier League: Watford 4 - Chelsea 1
[]
In the English Premier League, Chelsea made the trip to face Watford hoping to bounce back from last Wednesday's three-nil home loss to Bournemouth. Having not won in more than a month, manager Marco Silva was sacked by the Hornet's board and new boss Javi Gracia hasn't fared much better. A defeat in the F-A cup and a draw with struggling Stoke hasn't seen much of a turn in fortune, but that would all change against Antonio Conte's Blues and their leaky defence. Half an hour in and Chelsea are down to ten men after defender Tiemoue Bakayoko is sent off for two bookable offences.
Watford go in front three minutes before the break when Thibaut Courtois sends Gerard Deulofeu crashing in the box and Troy Deeney strokes home the penalty.
The visitors are back on level terms eight minutes before the end thanks to a 25-yard strike from Eden Hazard which leaves Orestis Karnezis stranded in the homeside goal.
But a lack of concentration lets in Daryl Janmaat for a tidy finish into the bottom corner just two minutes later.
Deulofeu and Roberto Pereyra add further misery in the closing stages, Watford win 4-1 and pile more pressure on Conte but give Garcia has a home debut to remember.
