Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi is on a visit to the United States amid rising trade tensions between Washington and Beijing. The State Councilor's trip comes at the invitation of the US government, and is expected to last from Thursday to Friday. Yang's first stop was at the US State Department, where he held closed door talks and had a working lunch with the US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson. Earlier we spoke with our correspondent Roee Ruttenberg in Washington, who told us more on the talks between Yang and Tillerson.
ROEE RUTTENBERG WASHINGTON "This comes on the heel of recent announcement by the US Treasury department, that was placing terrorist on imports of things like solar panels and sell and also washing machines. This needs to say private and not really answering a lot of questions at least here in Washington."
