Another recent transfer was presented at his new club, albeit with much less fanfare than Coutinho, as former Real Madrid and Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder was unveiled after completing his move to Qatari club Al-Gharafa. The 33-year-old Dutchman has signed an 18-month contract with the Qatar Stars League outfit.
Al-Gharafa are currently seventh in the 12-team league with Sneijder expected to partner Chilean international Luis Jimenez and Slovakia's Vladimir Weiss in midfield. Sneijder had played four games for Nice during a brief spell with the French club earlier this season. He previously played with Turkish club Galatasaray, where he made 124 appearances and scored 35 goals between 2013-2017. Sneijder arrived in Qatar following a glittering career that saw him win league titles in his native Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. He also helped Inter win the UEFA Champions League in 2010.
