French President Emmanuel Macron spoke by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, pressing the importance of maintaining Iran's nuclear accord.
Macron says he wants an "uncompromising" dialogue with Iran about its ballistic missile program and he told Netanyahu that efforts concerning Iranian ballistics as well as its regional activities should continue. Earlier, Netanyahu had urged the French leader to change the landmark accord, responding to the ultimatum issued by US President Donald Trump to the Europeans to tighten the terms of the agreement reached in 2015.
