The prime ministers of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government met for the first time since the region's controversial bid for independence last year. Ever since, tensions between Baghdad and Erbil have remained high.
At the meeting, Iraq's leader, Haider al-Abadi, repeated his conditions for lifting restrictions that include a ban on international air travel. He also demanded the Kurds stop exporting crude oil. The regional Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani, is due to fly to Tehran next for meetings with Iranian officials.
