Chinese State Councillor Yang Jiechi has met India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval for annual boundary talks in New Delhi. The meeting is the first between designated special representatives from the two countries since Chinese and Indian troops ended a stand-off in August in the disputed Donglang border region. The two representatives are expected to discuss ways to maintain peace and tranquillity along the disputed 35-hundred kilometer border and are also expected to discuss the Donglang stand-off.
