Exhausted surgeon naps on floor after five operations

Doctor Luo Heng is a surgeon at a hospital in Dingyuan county, east China’s Anhui Province. He worked overnight to perform two surgeries, and conducted three more operations the following day. Even though the temperature in Dingyuan was lower than 13 degrees Celsius, an exhausted Luo decided to have a quick nap on the floor. /CFP Photo

The photo was taken on March 30, when Luo fell asleep on the floor simply with a grass mat, after working nonstop for 28 hours. /CFP Photo

Chinese netizens sent their regards to Luo, and called for greater appreciation of doctors. Some said hospitals should make sure each doctor can work for a reasonable length of time and have enough rest. /CFP Photo
