The Palestinian consensus government of Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah has announced that it had finalized all preparations for Monday's historic visit to the Gaza Strip.
Several meetings in Egypt between Hamas and Fatah will follow in order to create a comprehensive plan, which includes the formation of unity government and an agreement on elections. Hamas had previously announced the dissolution of its administrative committee in Gaza, paving the way for the government's visit to the strip. Hamdallah's cabinet will hold its first meeting in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning -- the first of the consensus government's held in Gaza since December 2014.
