Iran Protests: At least 21 killed as unrest continues across nation

The head of Iran's Revolutionary Guard says the unrest that has rocked the country is over. Mohammad Ali Jafari said disturbances had been limited to three provinces and a maximum of 15,000 people took part.
At least 21 people have been killed in the protests and riots, including a police officer shot dead with a hunting rifle, and a young father and child who were struck by a fire truck hijacked by rioters. Hundreds of people have been arrested during the unrest which began last Thursday as a demonstration against inflation, unemployment and corruption. It quickly became an outlet for wider grievances against the government. Meanwhile, tens of thousands have rallied in a show of support for the government. Iran has accused its enemies of being behind the violence.
