A hot air balloon carrying around 20 people crashed near Egypt's ancient city of Luxor on Friday. According to officials there, a South African tourist was killed and 12 others were injured. Hot air balloon incidents have occurred in the past over Luxor. In 2013, a balloon caught fire in mid-flight, killing 19 tourists. It came four years after 13 foreign tourists were injured when their hot air balloon struck a communications mast and crashed.
