Japanese FM in China: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang meets with Taro Kono in Beijing

Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono is visiting Beijing and has held talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
Premier Li said he hoped Japan could properly handle historical issues and bring their bilateral ties back on track. Taro Kono said Japan wants to improve relations with China. The two sides also agreed they would seek to hold the next trilateral summit with South Korea as soon as possible. The meetings are supposed to be held each year, but have been on hold since 2015.
