Hina-matsuri is a special day in Japan to celebrate girls' happiness and growth. The centuries-old festival falls every March third. It's also known as Girls' Day or Doll's Day, and special dolls are displayed. They're small - only about 7 centimeters long -- about the size of an adult's little finger -- and made from silkworm cocoon and wormwood. The embroidery is so intricate, a craftsman can only make four dolls per day.
