Chinese naval frigate sets off to Russia for international military competition

The Chinese naval frigate, the Huangshi, has set off from eastern China's city of Qingdao for Russia to attend an international military competition. The contest among various countries includes competitions on seaborne practices, as well as medical and rescue operations. The two-week games will start next Saturday.

In the meantime, China and Russia have already started their large-scale naval drills dubbed "Joint Sea 2017" in the Baltic Sea. The Chinese naval fleet set off on June 18th from south China's Hainan Province. It sailed across the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. After more than 30 days, it reached its destination on Friday.
