As the salvage of the South Korean Sewol ferry continues, 48 items presumed to belong to those on the ill-fated vessel have been retrieved from the wreck.
South Korea's Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said it has collected items including clothes and mobile phones during the drainage work. The ferry has been brought to the port of Mokpo after being raised from the bottom of the sea.
South Korea's military said on Monday it may consider supporting the search for the remains of the victims at the site of the Sewol's sinking. The 6,800-ton ferry sank off the country's southwestern coast in April 2014, taking more than 300 lives.
