A new video has been released of the United Airlines passenger “prior” to being dragged off a plane by authorities.
The incident happened at Chicago O'hare International Airport Sunday evening.
United said it needed to free up seats on the flight to Louisville, Kentucky, to transport commuting crew members. An airline supervisor asked Dr. David Dao to give up his seat on the plane, but he refused.
Joya and Forest Cummings were sitting behind the doctor and began recording. In the video, Dao was mildly upset and shaking his head, forcefully and repeatedly saying, "I'm not going. You can drag me. I'm not going."
The Cummings both told CNN that Dao's voice was not raised when speaking to the officers and airline officials.
A spokesperson for Dao said his attorney and a family members would speak to the media Thursday morning.
Attorneys for Dao filed an emergency petition Wednesday morning looking to preserve all evidence in the case.
