South Korean opposition leader Moon Jae-in became his party’s presidential candidate on Monday.
It is the second time Moon has been in the running for the presidency, after losing to Park Guen-hye in 2012.
The election is expected on May 9. Former president Park was arrested a few days ago as part of a corruption probe into whether she helped a friend blackmail millions of dollars out of big companies in return for political favors.
Other candidates include Hong Jun-pyo from the Liberty Korea Party, Sim Sang-jung from the Justice Party and Yoo Seung-min from the Baerun Party.
