Nearly nine million passenger trips were made across China on Tuesday -- day six of the Spring Festival travel rush. To meet surging demands, railway authorities added around 700 trains for the day. The Beijing West Railway Station also updated its self-ticketing facilities to cope with passenger influx. As the Chinese New Year approaches, more and more people are hitting the road home. But the snowfall is affecting travel plans, after parts of highways were shut down in several provinces such as Jiangxi, Shandong, and Sichuan.
