Chinese President Xi Jinping has offered his condolences to Queen Elizabeth II for the victims of Wednesday’s terror attack in central London, which saw a car ploughing through pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before a knife-wielding man went on a stabbing spree.
Xi said terrorism is the common enemy of society, noting that China firmly opposes any form of terrorism. Xi also noted that China is willing to strengthen security and anti-terrorism cooperation with the UK and the world.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also sent a message of condolence to British Prime Minister Theresa May Thursday: China stands ready to combat terrorism with Britain and the international community.
Xi and Li condemned the attack and extended their deepest condolences to the families of the victims.
Four people, including the assailant, were killed and 40 others injured in the attack on Wednesday.
