It's been 45 years since US President Richard Nixon's historic visit to China resulted in the Shanghai Communique. Since then, the relationship ties between China and the US has become one of the world's most significant.
In a special CGTN interview, Nixon's Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said he believes the US and China should stick to the principles that prevailed 45 years ago early principles, and that President Donald Trump should seek a cooperative relationship with China.
