Winter Blast: Snowstorms pound central China, Europe

The first snow of the new year hit large parts of central and eastern China, as well as the continent of Europe.
Snow continues to sweep through parts of China's Anhui, Henan and Jiangsu provinces. At least 3 airports have been shut down, and 9 others are experiencing extensive delays. Weather officials advise local authorities to take precautions regarding roads, railways, and power grids.
At the same time, winter storm Eleanor is sweeping across Europe, bringing death, damage and disruption. The storm is snarling transport networks and has cut power to tens of thousands of people.
