The Chinese mainland is criticizing Taiwan for rejecting extra flights during the Spring Festival.
China's Civil Aviation Administration says Taiwan authorities are making excuses to undermine the operation of China Eastern Airlines and Xiamen Air. The agency says it's nonsense to label some routes as dangerous, since they've been approved by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
The Civil Aviation Administration says Taiwan authorities should respect the demand for cross-strait travel.
More and more people from Taiwan have been settling in the Chinese mainland in recent years. A report last year says about 350-thousand people from Taiwan work on the Chinese mainland.
