Spain's Supreme Court has rejected a demand to re-activate a European arrest warrant for former Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont.
The decision will instead be delayed until the Catalan parliament returns to normal. Puigdemont is currently in Denmark for a university debate. In October, he fled to Brussels after Spanish authorities sacked him and accused him for pushing for independence. Catalonia's newly-elected parliamentary speaker has now proposed Puigdemont once again run for head of the regional government.
