Much of central China is forecast to get heavy snow on Wednesday night and into Thursday. The National Meteorological Center has issued an orange alert for the region, advising residents of Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Hubei and Anhui provinces to stay indoors, and for local authorities to take special precautions. The agency also forecast widespread rain and temperature drops across parts of central and eastern China over the next ten days.
