Yunnan Freeway Accident: At least 4 killed, 3 injured in 53-car pileup

In southwest China's Yunnan Province at least four people are dead and three others have minor injuries after a 53-car pileup.
The accident happened at 6am on the highway from Kunming to Chuxiong. Local police say more than 80 people were stranded on the road. Authorities blame icy roads. The four people were killed as they tried to cross the highway on foot. Rescues and an investigation are underway.
