Jerusalem Controversy: Proposals to resolve Israeli-Palestinian issue
[]
Let's take a look at some of the proposals aimed at resolving the Israeli-Palestinian issue. A two-state solution aims at establishing two countries for two separate societies. Recent advocates of this solution have suggested establishing the border along the West Bank barrier. However, the boundary line is subject to intense dispute.
A one-state solution calls for a unified state that includes Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Many advocates of this proposal, say all residents of the unified state should have equal citizenship rights. But critics say historical enmity between the two sides make this option impractical.
