About 17.4 million Britons voted for Brexit on June 23, 2016, triggering political and market turmoil. David Cameron stood down as prime minister, replaced by Theresa May last July. Almost half year later, May announced plans for a hard Brexit. Now, the UK Parliament has passed the Brexit bill unamended, clearing way for the government to trigger Article 50 and start withdrawal talks with the EU. But Brexit is expected to be a long process, lasting for at least two years.
