A Syria watchdog group says government forces have launched airstrikes against a number of targets in the eastern Ghouta pocket.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says video on social media showed a number of explosions in Harasta and Arbeen, areas to the north of the capital Damascus. The Observatory also said fierce fighting in the region have killed 35 civilians, 24 government troops and 29 insurgents, as government troops attempt to dislodge Islamist rebels from the area.
