And speaking of those Games in PyeongChang, as the torch relay continues its trek through South Korea, and the latest portion of the route, had an old school feel, as Jeong Geum-yeon retraced his run of 30 years ago -- when he also carried the flame, back then it was leading up to the 1988 Seoul Games.
And that is the 70-year-old Jeong receiving the torch on the left, before he and the other runner, make a heart with their arms. The runner re-tracing the exact route he took 30 years before, as the relay moves to the city of Damyang.
The journey venturing through a famous city road lined by tall Meta-sequoia trees, then carried up through the Jungnogwon Bamboo Garden.
The torch relay began November 1st and will travel along a route measuring exactly 2,018 kilometres across South Korea. The trek concludes February 9th when it will light the cauldron at the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Winter Games.
