Wang Yi also met his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi on Tuesday, calling for understanding of Myanmar's need to protect stability.
Wang Yi said: "the urgent task is to ease the tense situation as quickly as possible, avoid innocent people being harmed, prevent the humanitarian crisis spreading, and encouraging and supporting Myanmar and Bangladesh to seek a fundamental resolution via dialogue and consultation."
Meanwhile, responding to Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi's appeal, China provided more than 145,000 dollars in humanitarian aid to Myanmar's victims in the Rakhine conflict on Tuesday.
