With China now one of the biggest mobile markets in the world, it’s no surprise to see that Chinese mobile device makers are looking to go global.
In less than 10 years, China has gone from the overshadowed worker at the assembly line to a talented designer in the spotlight, exemplifying the drive of Chinese companies in all sectors to go global.
For example, Chinese-brand smartphones have accounted for about 40 percent of all smartphones sold around the world.
However, success doesn’t come easily, as all companies have to find a way to become localized in different markets and remain competitive.
Max Thayer, a product manager working in the branch company of Anker in Seattle, the US, emphasized the importance of cooperation between employers. He said that American employers and Chinese employers take shifts working in the company due to the time difference.
In this way, “We synchronize between the best ideas of America and those of China,” he explained to CGTN.
Founded in 2009, Anker sells its mobile charging products in Japan, North America and some European nations, coming in at 8th place in the BrandZ™ Top 30 Chinese Global Brand Builders 2017.
