Russia Extreme Cold: Temperatures drop to minus 65 degrees Celsius in parts of Russia
[]
Parts of Russia are experiencing extreme cold with temperatures dropping down to minus 65 degrees Celsius. In the Yakutia region, thick ice fog covered the streets causing problems for drivers and claiming the lives of two men. The cold also forced the shutdown of schools and kindergartens in Magadan and Krasnoyarsk.
Russia's Emergency Ministry has issued notices on how to deal with the cold. They include drinking plenty of water to avoid dehydration and wearing thicker clothes to maintain normal blood circulation. The current weather is forecast to last throughout the whole of January.
