For tennis we go to France, with that country hosting Belgium in the final of the Davis Cup. France went up 2-1 in the best of five by winning the doubles on Saturday, and their top player, world number 15 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, had a chance to end Les Bleus' streak of three straight defeats in the final when he faced Belgium's best, David Goffin.
That's Goffin serving. The world number 7 won the first set in a tiebreak, and is in control in the second frame and this point, which he takes with a smash, and later wins the set 6-3.
Goffin is even better in the third, and takes it 6-2 when Tsonga returns into the net, levelling the tie at 2-2 to force a deciding match between France's Lucas Pouille and Steve Darcis.
That's Pouille serving on set point in the first, and looking to make amends for his straight sets defeat to Goffin in the opening singles match. Darcis gets to the drop shot, but can't handle the follow up forehand, and Pouille claims the frame 6-3.
A comeback from from the 77th ranked Darcis never seems likely, especially after Pouille took the second 6-1. The Frenchman now has match point leading 5-0, and when Darcis stabs a forehand long, it's all over. Pouille collapses to the court, overcome by emotion, and is soon swarmed by his victorious teammates.
France win their first Davis Cup since 2001, and their third title under captain Yannick Noah. This is the tenth for the country overall.
