Putin looks forward to meeting with Xi at Belt and Road Forum

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that he looks forward to meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in May, Xinhua reported.
President Putin made the remarks when meeting Chinese official Li Zhanshu, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, at the Kremlin in Moscow.

Putin expressed his sincere greetings and best wishes to President Xi and noted that the cooperation between the two countries in business, culture and politics sees fruitful results.
Russia has responded positively to China’s Belt and Road Initiative and is satisfied with the bilateral relations and mutual trust with China, said Putin.

Li Zhanshu stressed that China and Russia's overall strategic cooperation partnership has been developing smoothly and steadily. No matter how the international situation changes, the two countries will adhere to the principle of deepening the overall strategic cooperation partnership, committing to mutual development and protecting world peace.
