Premier of Australia's Victoria: We treasure the friendship with China

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Daniel Andrews, premier of Victoria, Australia, during his visit to Melbourne on Wednesday.
Wang told the premier that China enjoys a good relationship with the state, adding that Victoria's pro-China policy is beneficial for the state and its people. Wang expressed hope that Victoria can continue to be a pioneer state in the cooperation between China and Australia.
China and Australia are both important economic drivers for the development of the Asia-Pacific region, Wang added.
Andrews said he treasured his state's friendship with China and supported a free trade agreement between China and Australia. He also acclaimed Chinese people's contribution to the state, and stated his hopes that more Chinese enterprises would invest in Victoria.
