As part of this year's Croisements festival, a cultural extravaganza celebrating French culture, the Exhibition High Tension: 8 Winners of the Marcel Duchamp Prize, was unveiled at Beijing's Red Brick Art Museum on Saturday.

CGTN's Shen Li spoke to the exhibition's curator and honorary director of the Centre Pompidou, the French National museum of Modern Art, Alfred Pacquement. He shared his views on contemporary Chinese art and what it means to the world.

During the interview, Pacquement reviewed the major 2003 exhibition "Well then, China?" at the Centre Pompidou which introduced Chinese art to the world. He also talked about a wide range of topics, including the growing curiosity for Chinese contemporary art as well as how globalization is helping artists find new inspiration from other cultures.
