Curtain falls on Beijing International Film Festival

The final curtain fell at the seventh Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF 2017) on Sunday as the Tiantan Award went to Luka, a Georgian movie by Giorgi Barabadze.
The closing ceremony of the film festival began with star-studded red carpet as global filmmakers gathered at the State Production Base of China Film Group in Beijing to witness the announcement for the 2017 Tiantan Award.

There were 15 outstanding films shortlisted for the award through five rounds of selection. A total of 424 entries from 59 countries and regions, including 274 international films and 150 domestic films, had participated in the competition.
