Brexit Transition: EU offers UK 'status quo transition'

The European Union has agreed to offer the United Kingdom a 21-month transition period after its exit from the bloc next year. During the transition, the UK would keep most of the benefits of EU membership, but not have a vote on policy. Ministers took just two minutes to endorse the common stance drafted by officials.
