In Fuzhou, the capital of southeast China's Fujian Province, over 400 participants from BRICS and other countries are attending a three-day forum on cooperation.
Representatives of political parties, think tanks and non-governmental organizations are seeking to build consensus and boost BRICS cooperation.
CGTN’s Zheng Yibing interviewed Vyacheslav Nikonov, a senior Russian official on the research of BRICS development.
In response to a question on how BRICS countries should combat risks and challenges, said Nikonov, Chairman of the Board of the Russian National Committee for BRICS Research, "There are risks and difficulties all over the world, we are changing them."
During the interview, Nikonov also talked about his expectations ahead of the ninth BRICS summit set for September in Xiamen, Fujian Province.
