An art troupe from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is set to arrive by ferry in South Korea, as part of events related to the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The trip marks the first visit by a DPRK vessel in years.
Mangyongbong-92 is scheduled to arrive at the port of Mukho, in the eastern city of Donghae, at five p.m. local time. The art troupe, with 140 members, is scheduled to stage performances on Thursday and Sunday. A 23-member advance team from the DPRK art troupe arrived on Monday to prepare for the performances, which will be held in Seoul and Gangneung. The ferry will also serve as the accommodations for the DPRK art troupe during the stay in South Korea.
