South Korea on Monday ruled out the renegotiation of the cost of deploying the THAAD missile defense system.
It comes as a response to pressure from US President Donald Trump who has asked Seoul to pay some 1 billion US dollars for the system.
South Korea says the bilateral deal between the two countries stipulates that it should provide land for the deployment and the US should fund the installation and maintenance.
US National Security Adviser General H. R. McMaster has said the United States will adhere to the deal until a renegotiation takes place.
