The Fuxing, Chinese for "rejuvenation", is China's third-generation bullet train, over which it has complete intellectual property rights.

According to the Associated Press, China has laid over 20,000 kilometers of high-speed rail, and intends to add another 10,000 kilometers by 2020. To date, China has spent an estimated 360 billion dollars on the high-speed rail, building by far the largest network in the world.

The Beijing to Shenzhen line, part of the longest high-speed railway network in the world, is the second fastest train in China. It connects North China, Central China, and South China, with the landscapes along the way changing every hour. Although 8 hours makes it quite a long trip, it's also a special experience to travel more than 2,200 kilometers on a train.

Linking the Yangtze delta cities, the Shanghai to Nanjing line is in third place offering the fastest train service measured by average trip speed.
