The Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to Malaysia, Kang Chol, arrived at Beijing airport with his wife and daughter after midnight Tuesday.
Malaysia expelled Kang Chol on Saturday, March 4, weeks after Kim Jong Nam was allegedly poisoned at Kuala Lumpur airport on February 13.
Meanwhile, the DPRK Foreign Ministry announced in a statement carried by the National News Agency, KCNA, that Malaysia’s ambassador would no longer be welcome in the country as of Sunday, March 5. Pyongyang stated that it gave the ambassador 48 hours’ notice to leave the country.
