A tech company in Latvia recently released a stunt video of one brave skydiver doing the world's first drone jump.
In the video, Skydiver Ingus Augstkalns was successfully lifted into the sky by a robust drone and then parachuted safely back down to Earth.
"The biggest risk is the moment when you are on the tower and the drone comes to you and the first five meters to get away from the tower, and to understand if everything is okay or whether we should do an emergency procedure and I should release the bar and pull the parachute,” he said.
Extreme sports aside, the company hopes this type of drone could help save people trapped in difficult-to-reach locations. Janis Putrams, CEO of Aerones, said the drone makes it possible to jump in any place including desert, city and mountains.
