A bus from Zimbabwe en route to Zambia crashed into a tree on Wednesday night, killing 43 people, Zimbabwean police reported on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Charity Charamba told AFP the bus lost control on a curve in the Nyamakate area near the border with Zambia.
An investigation is underway.
Many Zimbabweans travel to Zambia by bus daily to trade.
