The Fifth Session of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee started in Beijing today. CGTN went to the Great Hall of the People to show you what's happening.
China is now hosting its most important annual political event, the "Two Sessions", namely the plenary session of the National People's Congress (NPC), which opens on Sunday, and the plenary session of the CPPCC National Committee, which opened today.
Attending the two-week sessions are thousands of NPC deputies and CPPCC National Committee members from across the country.
