China's exports in yuan-denominated terms rose 6 percent year on year in October, while imports increased 16 percent.
That led to a monthly trade surplus of 254.5 billion yuan in October, according to the General Administration of Customs. Meanwhile, China's foreign trade volume rose 16 percent year-on-year to 22.5 trillion yuan in the first ten months. After several lean years, China's trade performance has rebounded this year thanks to strong demand at home and abroad.
